Description

This apple pie moonshine recipe blends apple juice, cider, sugars, cinnamon, and high-proof alcohol into a sweet, spiced drink perfect for fall gatherings or holiday gifts. Easy to make at home and deliciously cozy.


Ingredients

  • 1 gallon apple juice

  • 1 gallon apple cider

  • 2 cups white sugar

  • 2 cups brown sugar

  • 4 cinnamon sticks (or more to taste)

  • 1 pinch apple pie spice

  • 1 (750ml) bottle 190-proof grain alcohol

  • 1 (750ml) bottle vodka


Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine apple juice, apple cider, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and apple pie spice.

  2. Stir until sugars dissolve, then bring mixture just to a boil.

  3. Cover, reduce heat, and let simmer for 1 hour.

  4. Remove from heat and cool completely.

  5. Once cool, stir in grain alcohol and vodka. Remove cinnamon sticks.

  6. Pour into clean mason jars or bottles and seal.

  7. Store in refrigerator. Let sit 2–4 weeks for best flavor.

Notes

Use cheesecloth to strain if clarity is important.

Label your jars with the date and alcohol content.

Flavors intensify with time. Aging improves taste.

Always refrigerate after opening.

Mix with ginger beer, lemonade, or cider for cocktails.
