Ingredients
-
1 lb (16 oz) frozen French fries
-
8–10 oz cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
-
12 oz bacon, uncooked
-
¼ cup ranch dressing
-
2–3 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
-
Sea salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
Prepare Bacon: Cut raw bacon into 1-inch pieces and cook in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels.
-
Bake Fries: Preheat oven to 400°F. Spread fries on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 18–22 minutes until golden and crispy.
-
Prepare Toppings: Shred cheddar cheese and thinly slice green onions.
-
Assemble: Remove fries from oven, season lightly with salt and pepper. Layer with shredded cheese, cooked bacon, and half the green onions.
-
Melt Cheese: Return to oven for 3–5 minutes until cheese is bubbly and melted.
-
Finish and Serve: Drizzle ranch dressing over the top and sprinkle with remaining green onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use freshly shredded cheese for the best melting.
Don’t overcrowd the baking sheet to ensure maximum crispiness.
Customize toppings with jalapeños, pulled pork, or different cheeses.
