Description

This Dubai chocolate bar recipe blends dates, cardamom, pistachios, and dark chocolate into an indulgent Mediterranean dessert that’s both wholesome and luxurious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g dark chocolate (70% cocoa or more), chopped

  • 200g Medjool dates, pitted and chopped

  • 100g roasted pistachios

  • 100g roasted almonds (or hazelnuts)

  • 2 tsp ground cardamom

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tbsp tahini or coconut oil (optional)

  • 1 tsp rosewater (optional)

  • Sea salt for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the chocolate using a double boiler. Add tahini or coconut oil if desired for creaminess.

  2. In a large bowl, mix chopped dates, pistachios, almonds, cardamom, and cinnamon.

  3. Pour melted chocolate over the mixture and stir to combine evenly.

  4. Line a dish with parchment, spread the mixture, sprinkle with sea salt.

  5. Chill in the fridge for 2 hours until fully set. Slice and enjoy.

Notes

Use vegan chocolate to make it dairy-free.

Add dried apricots or figs for a fruity twist.

Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
