Description
This rice krispie treat recipe makes soft, gooey, and flavorful bars that are quick and foolproof. Great for parties or a nostalgic treat at home.
Ingredients
3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter
two 10-ounce bags (566g) mini marshmallows
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
pinch of salt
9 cups (270g) crispy rice cereal
Instructions
1. Line a 9×13-inch pan with parchment and grease lightly.
2. Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat.
3. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
4. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and salt.
5. Fold in cereal until fully coated.
6. Transfer mixture to the pan and press gently.
7. Let set at room temperature for 1 hour.
8. Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
Do not overheat marshmallows to avoid hard bars.
Use fresh marshmallows for best texture.
Store in airtight container for up to 3 days.
